INAISE - International Association of Investors in the Social Economy
INAISE is an international network of organizations financing social and environmental projects.
Network's objectives:
Created in Barcelona, Spain in 1989 by 7 financial organizations of the social economy, INAISE knew a fast growth thanks to the social finance movement's development which very quickly gained in numbers, visibility and importance. Thanks to INAISE, the social investors, from Norway to South Africa and from Costa Rica to Japan, linked themselves to exchange their experiences, to disseminate information and to show to the whole world that money can be a factor of social and environmental change, in particular for the poorest or excluded populations.
For that INAISE:
- stimulates and supports the international co-operation between investors of the social economy;
- is an information centre for organizations or individuals interested in social economy financing;
- diffuses information about: members' development and experiences, new publications, conferences and seminars;
- organizes conferences and supports experience sharing;
- contributes and coordinates research projects of social economy financing, with the support of national and international institutions;
- coordinates and facilitates the organization of members' joint projects.
